Overheating and white smoke – head gasket gone on my Jeep?
Cita de bendawkins en mayo 18, 2026, 10:26 amWoke up this morning to find my 2016 Grand Cherokee struggling to start and then a cloud of white smoke from the exhaust that smelled sweet – pretty sure that's coolant burning. Temp gauge started climbing fast so I pulled over immediately. I know head gasket jobs aren't cheap but I'm hoping to find a shop in Musaffah that won't rip me off or take three weeks. Did some searching on my phone and came across a page about Musaffah Jeep Head Gasket Replacement which seems promising, but I'd really love to hear from anyone who's actually had this done locally. How much should I expect to pay for a 3.6 Pentastar? Did they machine the heads or just slap new gaskets on? Also worried about the oil cooler leaking afterwards – is that something I should have them do at the same time? I'm not looking for the cheapest option, just honest work from people who've done these before. Any recommendations or advice would really help me sleep better tonight. Thanks.
