My car battery died last week, and I need some simple advice. I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla. The mechanic looked at it and said, “You need a D59.” I just said okay, but I did not really understand. Now I want to know what it means before I pay for anything. My brother says D59 is only a size code and the shop will always know the right one. My neighbor says that is not enough, because the power and the side of the terminals matter too. A friend at work told me to put the new battery next to the old one before I pay. He said some batteries look the same but have the cables on the wrong side. I read a page on vartabatterydubai.ae last night, and it explained the size code and the main numbers in easy words. I wrote a few notes on my phone. After that I started looking for a Professional Varta D59 battery explanation in Dubai, because I want to understand it before I go back to the shop. I have a few easy questions. Does D59 fit every car, or only some models? How can I check which side the terminals should be on? Is it okay to buy a battery with a little more power if the size is the same? And should I ask the shop to show me the date on the battery before they fit it? Please tell me what you check when you buy a battery. Thanks for reading.
